I have been staying in my toddler's room at night until he falls asleep. Though, as this started to stretch to 30 then 45 then 60 minutes, I realized it wasn't working for me anymore. I followed my momma's intuition and tried something new one night. I told him I needed to go downstairs to do chores (which is true), and suggested I help build him a cozy cave. LOTS of pillows, stuffies, blankets, sometimes even toy cars and books. Now he tells me where he wants the things and is asleep within 10 minutes! So grateful to have some extra quiet chores (and/or me) time in the evenings.
